Horse Shows

Cotswolds activity horse shows
  • Available all year round. Outdoor shows run approximately March - October
  • Where to start? There are shows that are only for horses and may include in-hand (halter) and ridden classes as well as jumping and other fun such as mounted games and scurry racing. Then there are major county agricultural shows that have many other fascinating attractions such as cattle and sheep and pigs and chickens and goats and dancing JCB diggers and motorbike acrobatics and big tractors... There are country and lifestyle shows that include crafts and music and artisan foods with a few horses, there are village shows with largest vegetable competitions and home made cakes and a gymkhana … and… Some shows are really small and local, some are very large and last for a few days. Each can provide an immersive, unique insight into modern British rural life.
  • Cotswold Horse Tours can organise a visit to a show, to include entry, programme and an expert guide to explain what you are seeing. The cost is very variable between shows, and according to group size, so please do contact us for further information.
  • This is a non-riding activity and very suitable for groups and families. Basically, a thoroughly good day out.
