- Available all year round * BUT* you must have some previous riding experience. Unfortunately, we cannot take out guests hacking for their very first time.
- Riding through the glorious Cotswold countryside, in the space and fresh air, on a horse who is equally enjoying himself, is one of life's great pleasures. Cotswold Horse Tours uses several different stables across the Cotswolds, all run by well qualified professionals who love their their horses and maintain high standards. One yard may offer offer long canters over pasture and through woodlands, another an opportunity to ride through picture-book golden villages. The horses will be honest and well trained, able to give you a pleasant ride, but we do take great care to match the hacking to the appropriate level of rider skill. We will ask about your riding competence to find the stables that will best meet your requirements. For your welfare and for the welfare of the horses, all our hacks are escorted by an experienced guide.
- Hacking fits very easily into a busy schedule, such as going on to a pub lunch after the ride, or it provides the focus on a day trip from London. The majority of yards will offer 60 minute hacks but it also possible, with sufficient notice, to arrange for longer two or even three hour rides. The cost will obviously vary between stables, the duration of the ride and how many people are in the group (min. 1, max. 5 people)
- We will be happy to arrange a tailor–made stay for riding enthusiasts featuring airport transfers, daily transport, accommodation and riding. It is possible to arrange very good accommodation on one yard to allow a mixed package of tuition and hacking over a few days. Please get in touch for a costing.
